Volunteering with an SOS Chapter allows you to connect with an inspired community, broaden your perspective, and make an impact.
SOS Chapters are built upon a wide range of on-campus volunteer roles that offer something for everyone.
Each SOS Chapter is built around different departments (such as Marketing, Human Resources, Educational Development, International Development, and Finance) that work together to engage students in the work of SOS and fundraise to support our global impact. Learn more about SOS Chapters

Chapter Executive
These are year-long roles for highly committed students. As an Executive, you’ll lead a team of general volunteers to guide one department of your SOS Chapter. You’ll be planning team activities, hosting meetings, and coordinating group communications to achieve your goals. There’s all the opportunity to become a Chapter President to help lead the teams working across all different departments!
General Volunteer
You’ll work within a department to support specific goals. For instance, you might help the marketing team by flyering or doing class talks, or attending an Exam Aid session to help students register.
Exam Aid Instructor
If you’re knowledgeable and passionate about a certain subject area, you can lead the design and facilitation of one of our Exam Aids.
